Is Spring ever gonna get here?!

Not being a techno wiz AT ALL, I hope my readers will bear with me as I start my very first blog!!

This week was the second of many (I hope) that I spent with some old and new friends for a time of creating a few cards with Stampin'Up!products. I've been a demonstrator for almost three years and can't seem to get enough! If I can pull this off, I'm gonna try to post every few days and share photos of recent projects my friends and I have made. So, that being said, here goes!

The card for today screams spring to me and was made using a retired SU! stamp set named Garden Greetings. A gal I work with asked if I'd make a birthday card for her daughter and this is the one I came up with. The card stock I used was Tempting Turquoise, Garden Green, So Saffron and Whisper White with the coordinating inks. Of course I had to use some Dazzling Diamonds glitter for a bit of bling, too! Since the card was being sent in the mail, I didn't want to use brads. The post office gets a little particular about card embellishments so I punched three 1/4" circles to attach to the lower right corner of the card for balance.

My friend told me her daughter loved the card and appreciated the fact that it was made individually, by hand, by a human--not a machine. I think that holds true for a lot of folks. It's like giving a gift that gives twice!!

Speaking of gifts, my sister wants to see what my Husky, Keifer, is looking like since I told her he was getting fatter than a mud fence so here's a picture, Sis!
Stay warm !
